A brief update for everyone on our new babydog, Mystery.
Successes: She is eating out of her bowl without being hand-fed-yay!
She's getting better about her leash etiquette, though we still have plenty of training to do!
She is learning to calm herself down more quickly when we leave, so she only pouts for about 5 minutes now instead of being really focused on us leaving for 15 minutes or so.
She's bonding to us, and submits to us. (belly rubs, anyone?)
Her doggy pink-eye has fully healed!
She had her 1st heartworm shot on Saturday, intramuscular injections. She'll need to be on limited activity now until Sept 1st-ish. She'll go in for a 2nd round of shots (2, 24 hours apart) around mid-July. Once September rolls around, we can build her up to normal doggy-activities again :) I'll try to post another pic of her around the end of the week.
